USE INSTRUCTIONS

Place a small sample (2-5mg) of the substance you want to analyze in the provided plastic tube. If preferred, the test can be performed on a white ceramic surface for clearer results (e.g. kitchen plate). Add a drop of Simplest Ehrlich reagent to the sample and expect it to change colors.

The ehrlich test confirms the presence of indole groups in a sample. LSD, DMT (ayahuasca), psilocybin and psilocin (mushrooms), AMT, 5-MeO-DMT, 5-MeO-DIPT, 5-MEO-MIPT, 5-MEO-AMT, 4-ACO-DMT all contain indole groups in their respective molecules and will therefore react with this reagent. In order to distinguish among the above mentioned indolic molecules, we highly recommend testing your sample with the Hofmann reagent as well. Upon reaction, the sample will gradually turn purple/magenta (see legend). The reaction can take a while to take place (up to 3 minutes), especially if the substance is impregnated in blotter paper. Ehrlich spot test kit

When finished, clean all material thoroughly with plenty of water. The entire protocol takes approximately 5 minutes. Store at cold temperature, preferably in the freezer for longer shelf life (up to 12 months).
